So, here is your help. Find the airport from the list down and follow the instructions mentioned in the individual one. If possible, share this guide with your Facebook friends, who travel a lot through airlines.

#1 Dubai  International Airport

At the world’s busiest airport, you get the Wi-Fi for free and that too without any data cap. You can surf the internet for as much time as you want, but the speed you get in this free service is not that impressive if you’re looking to surf heavy websites.

Turn on the Wi-Fi, and connect to ‘Boingo_Hotspot’. You don’t have to enter any key or any other thing. It’s public and available to everyone. But, if you’re looking for faster connectivity, opt for a premium plan offered at that place.

#2 London Heathrow Airport

At the London spot, you get free access for first four hours, and to extend your usage timing beyond four hours, then you’ve to join the Rewards Loyalty Program they run. While at the port, search and get connected to ‘_Heathrow Wi-Fi’. A passcode will be sent to your phone, once to follow the on-screen instructions. This will give you free and unlimited access for first four hours only.

#3 Beijing Capital International Airport

Once you get connected to the ‘Airport Wi-Fi Free’ network then you need to enter the phone number first at the very first browser tab. This will send you a secret code through SMS, which will work as a passcode for the Wi-Fi connection you just joined. This is how you can get access to the unlimited internet for an unlimited time.

#4 Haneda Airport

At this port, you’ve to look for an ID issuing machine, and once you are there, follow the on-screen instructions, i.e., select your language, scan your passport, confirm the passport number and then you’ll get a printed ID password. This password is the key to the free Wi-Fi offered at the port under the name ‘Wi2premium’.

#5 Hong Kong International Airport

Once you’re at the port, look for the Wi-Fi available joints, and connect to ‘#HKAirport Free WiFi’ named SSID. Now, hit the browser and once a new tab opens, try to open any normal website, say google.com. Once that website opens, you’ve to click on Accept and Continue button after going through certain terms and the access will be available at your end without any further instructions or charges.

#6 Los Angeles International Airport

To gain the free access, you need to connect to ‘LAX Wi-Fi’ named connection and once a browser opens, click on ‘Get Free Access’ button. But, this connection will offer limited speed, which is generally slow. So, you’ve to opt for the premium service in case of need for faster data connectivity.

#7 Singapore Changi Airport

Look for the connection named ‘#WIFI@CHANGI’ and connect to the same. Now open the browser like usual and a login page will automatically open. Enter the phone number you’re currently using and a message will appear with a passcode.

Enter the same code into the SSID password in the Wi-Fi connection and you’ll gain access to the unlimited internet connectivity and surfing.

#8 Miami Airport

The concept over here is that you can surf for free using the default available Wi-Fi connection, if you’re opening information websites related to hotels and travels or the Miami government ones. But, to get the complete access, you need to buy the premium services offered by iPass, or T-Mobile, or the very common Boingo.

#9 Chicago Airport

You’ve to look for an available connection and then connect to ‘Boingo’ named connection. Once connected, you’ll gain free access for first 20 minutes. Later, if you wish to continue, you need to either pay for the day or opt for the monthly subscription which are both charged.

Google Maps Tricks and Tips (Android/iOS)

These Google Maps tricks and tips are available on the application for iOS and Android platform. This clearly means that you can access these features on an Android-powered smartphone or tablet and even on an iPhone or iPad. So, I guess you’re excited to move ahead and grab all this knowledge. Let’s start!

#1 Grab the Offline Map

Planning a weekend where you’ll be cut from every modern amenity is really helpful and good enough to make you feel happy, energetic, etc. But, you can still take the Maps with you, in case of help. Before leaving, open the application, scroll for navigation between your current and destination place, and then you can take that whole scene in the offline mode.

Now, that whole Map is stored on your phone which can be accessed without any Internet. Impressive, huh? The moment you starts finding the navigation paths, you’ll have a clear option to take that offline.

#2 Add Work and Home Locations

This is the first thing you should do while setting up your new smartphone. Launch the Map app and add your home and work locations. Now, the application will showcase you daily traffic update at the time of your travel, which it learns and displayed through Google Now.

Add Work and Home Locations

To add these locations, you need to hit the exact current location using the GPS marker, and then save that place with the desired name. Make sure you’re logged in using a Google account.

#3 Voice Commands powered Navigation

While driving, you don’t need to look at the phone to get navigation updates. The same thing can be used over Voice Commands which is an easily accessible feature. So, next time while you’re driving or walking or cycling, simply find a path, and then hit the Voice Command option to hear instructions while doing the other driving thing.

#4 Timeline view

This is a new feature introduced which can showcase your recent searches, recent places you arrived, and recent reviews you’ve shared with the Maps. Yes, you can share reviews and pictures, which help other users and also Google to rate that place or hotel, or whatever it is. So, it’s like a homepage of every related data with your profile.

#5 Star your favorite places

Any of your favorite places can be starred and you can later search them quickly from the compilation of starred place under your profile. Once you are at any location, you’ll clearly see a Star option to tap on.

#6 Night Mode

Night Mode

I’ve been using apps like Twilight to protect my eyes from screen effects of a smartphone, but that app can’t be used while I’m accessing Maps during the night time, as it dims everything. So, there is a night mode available in the application, which can literally save eyes from getting hurt due to bright and light colors, which looks great in the daytime.

#7 Name your favorite places

The moment after you learn starring a place, you’ll also have the option to name that place according to you. Like you can name the Domino’s in your area for Best Pizza for Me, or Best Hangout Place. This is how, you don’t need to remember the actual name, rather, just a nickname.

#8 Send Directions from Desktop to Phone

No matter how better they are becoming, smartphones are still behind what a Desktop or Laptop system can do. So, if you like using the desktop itself, then you can find a path on the online Map application through Browser, and then send those instructions to the phone’s app with a single click.

#9 Nearby Places and Events

Once you are at any place using the Maps, you’ll easily see a drop-down list of other places and events which are available and happening near to the same. This is how you can research and find the one best for your current time and requirements.

#10 Check Busy Hours of a Place

Check Busy Hours of a Place

If you’re looking for a solitary on a place, then open it up in Map, and a graph will be shown just below the same, showcasing the busy hours of the same. So, you can decide to go at rush hour, or at the peaceful one.

#11 Check Different Transportation methods

While finding a path from one place to another, you can always switch between different transportation methods and find the one you’re using at that time. For example, if you’re on a bicycle, then you can look for a detailed track for that transportation method.
